Our gymnasium
has two full-size basketball courts with adjustable (8’-10’
high) glass backboards. Two games can be playing at the
same time, and we have bleachers that can seat 200 fans.
Each basketball court has a volleyball court lined on
it, and if the portable bleachers are removed, a 3rd volleyball
court could be used. This is a great set-up for tournaments,
leagues, and camps, as well as a nice place to hold individual
or team practices. We have regularly scheduled pick-up
games on Wednesday evening (7-9); Saturday morning (7-9)
and Sunday morning (8:30-10:30), but groups are welcome
to rent court time whenever the gym is available.
The MAC also has a regulation racquetball court
and equipment that can be rented. Locker rooms
are available for those who like to get in an early workout
and shower before starting their work day.
Hardware is in place to string a volleyball net from wall-to-wall,
converting the court to wallyball (a
volleyball-like game that incorporates play off the walls).
Most volleyball enthusiasts love this fast-paced game
of 2-on-2; 3-on-3; or 4-on-4.
