The MAC has become a very popular host for wedding receptions
and company holiday parties, but has also been used for
stockholders’ dinners, fundraisers, formal dances,
awards banquets, and wakes. The main hall has nearly 12,500
sq.ft. of carpeted floor space and can accommodate groups
up to 600 people, but the room is easily partitioned
to create a cozy atmosphere for much smaller groups. Most
of our wedding receptions are between 150 and 350 guests,
but we can also host banquets of 75 and fewer.
Our facility has a kitchen that caterers
may serve from, but the MAC does not provide food service.
We have developed good relationships with several caterers
that we can recommend, but the renter has the option to
select food service from whomever they wish. [Any events
open to the public, however, must use licensed caterers.]
The MAC does have a liquor license and
can provide a full-service bar, but groups and guests
are not allowed to bring any alcohol onto the premise.
A large parquet dance floor is the focal
point for many of our receptions and we repeatedly are
complimented by visiting DJs for the fine acoustics
that the building provides. The MAC provides 5ft round
guest tables (along with rectangular head tables) with
linen table cloths and requires little from renters in
terms of clean-up. Rentable options available
to customers include centerpieces, archways, risers, dance
floor decorations, and a game room that is great for entertaining
the younger guests who may be in attendance.
Pricing for our events vary according to the
size of the group, length of the party, and options selected,
but a standard 5-1/2 hour wedding reception of more than
100 people starts at $950. Once a $50 deposit is placed
to reserve a date, we meet with the renter to discuss
details of the event and formulate a contract that specifies
what will be provided, what is allowed, all costs, and
a payment schedule.
